Features of Options dialog |
| The options dialog lets you configure certain features of The Hot Mix. Below is a list of the options and explains in detail about what they are. |
Player Controls Lock player controls after - Set this option to the seconds after a song has started to lock the keyboard buttons Un-Lock player controls after - Set this option to what percentage of the song has played before the keyboard buttons are un-locked Enable random help messages - This options turns random help on or off |
Song Settings Auto move destination - This path is associated to the Manage Watch List as to where to move songs for organization. |
Playlists Automatically add songs to "General" Favorites after "X" plays - This you can set to have a song be added to the general favorites section after so many plays. You may set this to never to disable. Ask me to remove songs from "New Songs" if I haven't played them in "X" months - This you can set to have The Hot Mix remind you of songs in the New Songs playlist that haven't been played for a while. You can set this to never to disable. Don't allow to Mix-Up lists larger than X - This you can set to a number so you don't accidentally mix up a large list and The Hot Mix stops responding while the mix is happening. Safety feature. |
Media Paths Media Paths - This is a list of paths on your computer that you store music at. The songs in these paths show up in the Library playlist Note you can add more paths with the "Add Path" button, Toggle a path to be scanned or not, or delete the path from the list completely. |
Watch Folder Watch Folders - This is a list of paths on your computer that you want to be scanned frequently for new songs additions. Nice feature to rip new CDs to these directories so the songs are automatically scanned and added to the Watch List so you can then Manage them to organize them on your hard drive. Limit song count to X - You can limit the number of songs in the Watch List by this number. If songs exceed this number you will receive a message in the Message Center to manage your Watch List or you can just raise this number higher. You can also un-check the checkbox to disable this and it will scan every file no matter how many. This is not recommended as if you have a lot of songs in there the scanning will be constant because of how many songs it has to look through. Note you can add more paths with the "Add Path" button, Toggle a path to be scanned or not, or delete the path from the list completely. |
Start Up Auto Run with Default Location Profile - Select no to disable the auto run feature of a profile. Auto Run with Default sound card - Select no to disable the auto run feature of the sound devices. |
Save Button - This button saves the current settings you have changed. If there is a problem with one of the options The Hot Mix will let you know. Close Button - This closes the Config Options dialog and discards your changes made. |
