About selecting sound devices: |
The Hot Mix has the ability to have Player 1, Player 2, and Headphones assigned with its own sound device installed in your system. This make it easy to mix your music through an external mixing device that 99.9% of real DJs use. So I recommend getting one if you don't have one. You can find a good priced 2/4 channel mixer at your local professional audio store for around 100 bucks. Or you can spend a little more for more channels/features. |
Player Sound Device and features: |
In the Sound Device dialog of starting up The Hot Mix you see 3 different lists. Player 1, Player 2, and Headphones. They are basically setup the same way for each device. You choose which Sound Device you want assigned to which player. You can then click the "Test Selected" button to play a short clip on that device to see if your hookups are correct on your mixer. After you have selected which device you want assigned to each player you can then adjust that channels volume. Use your mouse to click and move up and down to raise and lower the volume. |
Master volume control: |
Well this is the control for adjusting the Master volume for each sound device installed on your system. So if you have two devices installed it will adjust the Master and Wav volume settings for both sound devices. I do recommend that you have identical sound devices used in your system. This will ensure that the output signals are equal on both devices. If you use different sound devices you will most likely run into problems with volume differences. This is hardware problem and not with The Hot Mix. |
